Our Story
Paul Cornuke established the Gold Medal Team in 1979. Throughout his real estate career, he has been recognized with numerous awards for customer service and sales achievement. He took the Gold Medal Team to the top of the industry and kept it there. This success came only with hard work and a sharp eye on the client's best interests
In 2003, Paul partnered with Mark McWilliams. Armed with a background in software and management, Mark brought a fresh perspective to the Gold Medal Team. This partnership helped position the company to maintain its place as one of the top five real estate companies in Colorado Springs and one of the top 10 companies within a five-state region.

Mark is no stranger to raising the bar of excellence. In his first year with the Gold Medal Team, he was recognized as a member of the RE/MAX Properties 100% Club. He then achieved recognition in the RE/MAX Properties 900% Club in the RE/MAX Properties Hall of Honor. And in 2005, he received RE/MAX International's highest recognition: The Chairman's Club.
He has the distinction of being the Top Producing Team in the Top Producing Company in the Colorado Springs area. And he sells more than 150 homes every year.
His leadership skills have served him well throughout his career. A 1990 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Mark was a certified facilitator for Stephen Covey's "7 Habits of Highly Effective People" seminars and an On Target Institute leader. Before joining the Gold Medal Team, Mark was a Software Development Manager with MCI.
Mark puts his clients' best interests first and continuously motivates team members to do the same. The team's motto, "It's not about me - It's always about the client," has allowed the Gold Medal Team to celebrate nearly three decades of continuous success.
Living in the Springs area since 1986 helps Mark best serve his clients needs with top knowledge on the housing in Colorado Springs and the surrounding towns.
Mark enjoys just about any outdoor sport, from skiing and scuba diving to piloting private planes and wake boarding. He is devoted to his family and his church. Mark and his wife Kristen have two children, Hunter & Colton.
